I am an avid cyclist who enjoys riding every day – weather permitting. Riding my bike 20 or 30 miles a day wasn’t doing enough for me so I looked for another alternative. That is when I found Wayne Burns at Fortified Fitness.
I started working out with Wayne in the afternoons in May of 2015. I thought: man this looks easy. It’s only 45 minutes, then I can go ride 20-30 miles afterward. Oh, was I WRONG! Starting out, after each session I wanted to die. I was physically and mentally drained. After three or four private sessions, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue this any longer but Wayne coached me and pulled me through it. That’s when I became FORTIFIED!
Once I was fortified, my scheduled change from after work sessions to early morning workouts. My family and friends will tell you, I am not a morning person especially the type to get up at 4:30- 5:00am to go work out. They are shocked to hear that now I do this on a weekly basis. Success will change your outlook and approach.
Feeling better throughout the day, and seeing the difference it was making, got me committed. Now, I look forward to those Monday & Friday early morning sessions. I’ve even bought equipment that I use at home on the days I’m not working with Wayne.
After each session I leave mentally & physically drained but spiritually uplifted. It is the best feeling I experience that entire day. I feel that I have accomplished something and invested in something that truly benefits me! That’s why “I am Fortified”!
