seeking for the Treasure

I was at men’s group this morning and Jesus laid on my heart a beautiful picture of my life today. As a dad I will hide Easter eggs this weekend.

We will pick places that will be more obvious for our 3 year old and more challenging for our 7 and 8 year old, but each one I will hide with the anticipation of the joy it will bring each son of mine when they find it. Now they could stay inside and talk about Easter Eggs all day but will never find any without walking out into the yard and intentionally looking. If they have trouble finding some, I will walk over to that area and say hey boys “hey boys, come over this way and look around!” Remember, I know exactly where I hid the “treasures” that will make my boys scream with joy because they finally have found the prize I’ve hidden, they have found the Golden egg!

That is an amazing and beautiful picture of my life and your life today. Jesus is the Treasure of the World and He says you will find Me when you seek Me with all you heart (Jeremiah 29:13). Jesus said “ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7) Are you looking? Diligently looking?

How can we find the Treasure if we don’t seek for it

How can we find the Treasure if we don’t seek for it, if we are not ready to receive from Him? He wants you to seek Him today, He wants you to find Him today because He knows it is all the treasure you need.
